In 1979, Svetlana "Lana" Schervinsky came to the United States with her husband and two young children. She was an engineer in Russia, but she found it difficult to find a job in the country, particularly with knowing the language well.

After several years doing various jobs and learning English, Schervinsky advanced her career by joining the real estate business with a Century 21 office in Connecticut.

Success came early to her after relocating from so far away herself; she had a keen understanding of the relocation business. Her warm smile, friendly manner and hard work brought her many happy customers and clients.

After enjoying her first year in real estate, she decided to gain more control of her own business and joined Re/Max of Connecticut in 1986, becoming one of its top agents in four years. A relocation for her husband, who worked for Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon, brought her to Hunterdon County, New Jersey in 1991. After learning the roads and making many new friends, she decided to join Re/Max Advantage Realtors in the Whitehouse section of Readington Township.

Since 1991, Lana has excelled to various levels of high performance among her peers. Ten years later, in 2001, she became the Owner/Broker of Record for Re/Max Advantage Realtors in Whitehouse. Her office was voted the "Best of the Best" by Courier News readers for Central Jersey Real Estate that year.
